Most of what I know about Detroit comes from the movie Detroit Rock City. The first time I saw this movie AC/DC were playing a huge stadium show that same night and a friend and I were really close to going without tickets and trying to storm the gates. If you’ve seen the movie you’ll understand why (if not, see trailer below).
This photo series by Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre has nothing to do with the movie; rather showing the ruins of Detroit’s downtown buildings as relics of a once thriving industrialised metropolis. On the brightside I bet rental prices would be considerably lower here for that loft apartment or amphitheatre you’ve always dreamt of.
